I couldn't resist.

I knew it was a $50 risk (if they don't end up staying with us) but I was willing to take it. Every child needs a Christmas stocking with their name on it….

Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. For years I looked forward to having children around to enjoy it with.
But children get sick……and puke easily.
Thus
begins my Thanksgiving morning. X must have got a taste of what E had
earlier in the week and threw up all night/morning. E woke up and was
obviously not over it himself and threw up all over Ryan. By
midmorning both were down for a nap and although the ads were calling Ry and I's name we had to get some cooking and cleaning done while we had the chance.
It was nearly 3 pm before we broke into the ads.
We began with Best Buy and Target…..slowly checking each and every
page for the good deals. My excitement was brewing. My second favorite
day of the year is the day after Thanksgiving. Simply for the tradition
of getting up early and joining in the mania that is Black Friday.
By 5:30 we all sat down at the “special table” (as X calls it) and enjoyed Thanksgiving dinner together.

Then everything got worse:
7pm: I feel horribly sick. I go lay down
10pm: I'm in the bathroom throwing up.
3am: The alarm goes off to get up to go shopping
3:15am: Ryan's in the bathroom throwing up.
4am: I'm half awake crying because I don't feel well enough to go shopping
5:30am: Ry asks if I can get up and go to Target……I say there's no way.
7:30am: Ry is absolute misery. Thank you God for the Debster…..she's up with the kids feeding them breakfast.
9:am: I call into work, no way I can leave the kids with Ryan in this condition.
10am: Debster decides to stay while Kerry flies home sick.
11:30am: I take Ry to the TX MedClinic then come back home with the kids
12pm: Debster is now sick.
2pm: I go back to the Clinic to get Ryan….he had to get IV fluids.
3pm: Debster is now worse….she's in bed for the rest of the day.

This leaves me the least sick person in the house. It's been a rough day.
Hoping for a good nights rest and that everyone in this house is better tomorrow. Goodnight.
I wanted to update everyone on today.
So far things are interestingly good in our favor.
I am savoring God's peace right now as my mind is distracted with the simple joys of motherhood (cleaning up vomit, playing Hannah Montana on Wii).
Thanks for all your prayers….keep them coming.
“And all will see how great is our God!”
On Friday X and I took a road trip to Houston to visit Tom & Natalie and their kids as well as Angela.
Angela is doing so terrific! She looked awesome and I was trilled to be with her and talk to her face to face. She will hopefully be going home on Tuesday, just in time for Thanksgiving!

Angela, Carrie Beth (Ang's friend),and me in St. Luke's Transplant recovery floor.
