Well…it has been a long week but recruitment is finally over.
It was all very worth it though. UTAustin AXiD chapter had 36 women accept bids (the best number in years!) And the TX State AXiD chapter had 40 women accept bids.
When going through recruitment the active sisters must go on “silence” where they aren't allowed to talk to boyfriends, friends, etc.
Ryan has now put me on “silence” because he's sick of hearing about it.
is the last day acting as Pharmacy Supervisor for San Antonio West.
Hallelujah!
I'm going to celebrate by going to a few parties…..5 to be exact. Each lasting 40 minutes with a “door”, slide show, and tour and each with 30 minutes in between for regrooming, primping, and cleaning.
Super fun.
…another Alpha Xi Delta song stuck in my head.
I miss work.
I can't believe I just said that.
Words can't describe the past 24 hours. Kara and I had the most fabulous time ever.
Here's the recap:
1. Driving in West Texas is awesome! I don't know who can't see beauty in this and (seriously) who doesn't like a speed limit of 80?

2. Perfect timing. God led us straight to…..(hold on to your seats)….
MEETING BARLOWGIRL!!

I mean, seriously, I never in a million years thought I would get to meet them. Ryan actually asked as I left, “don't you want this poster in case you meet them” and I said, “no….I highly doubt I'm getting a chance to meet BarlowGirl at this huge event!”
But for realKara and I were going to go to the hotelthen didn't; were going to go out to eatthen didn't; were going to go back to the carthen didn't; were going to find a seat on the lawnthen didn't; instead we were somehow drawn to go look in the merchandise tent. Behold right before our eyes! Lauren, Becca, & Alyssa…super! They were only there like 15 minutes and it was totally not advertised.
If this doesn't prove that God's timing is perfect, I don't know what will.
3. BarlowGirl sounded incredible live. They came out singing Psalm 73 which is my most favorite BG song ever. It rocked.

4. Chris Tomlin (no pictures, sorry, my camera battery died) was pretty outstanding too. It was an amazing combination of rock and worship. In his own words, indescribable.
5. As my first Christian music festival I was amazed at how great a concert can be when there isn't any alcohol, cigarette smoking, illegal drugs, and disrespectful people. I totally have to go back next year. This was an amazing and life changing experience!
The Barlow Girl concert is tonight!
In 13 hours I will get to hear these amazing sisters sing all my favorite songs.
Now, Kara and I just need to get to Midland, TX. (aka: the middle of nowhere, TX)
