New York City…4 weeks from tomorrow!
We've bought our tickets, so whether I get approved for those vacation days or not, we are going to NYC! 4.5 fabulously super days with Mom and Dad (inlaw) living in the city. I can't wait.
I'm sure I will not be able to top the 2800 pictures taken in Destin but you'll be sure to see pictures such as these posted during that trip!
Yeah! Today is the 1 year anniversary of having our fabulously wonderful home.
How fast the year has gone. So many great memories already. We are so blessed to have this home, and let me tell you that after being away for a week my love grew stronger for it. When we walked in the door around 1 am on Friday morning the smell just capitvated me. It smelled new and fresh, oh so wonderful!
The drive was great.
Kara and I slept the entire time. How fabulous is that? Ian was so fabulous and stopped at 6:40 am at a ChickfilA in Alabama. We were starved and it totally hit the spot!
We made it to Destin around 11am (making the total drive time 12 hours). Kara and I really needed to shower. When I started the water I noticed a sulfur smell but decided to shower anyway.
OW!!!! Not a good idea with open (infected) sores on my body. Did I mention OW!!!! That sucked. To be honest….this whole having infected sores on a beach vacation just is not fun. I am praying for some serious healing by tomorrow morning (at the latest).
This afternoon Starbucks was at the top of the Todo list. I was dying for some caffeine. We found one pretty quick here in Destin and I ordered a Orange Latte. Oh Yum! It was fantastic. We hit a local restaurant next called Fud Puckers. Very fun. Kara and I thought we'd share a margarita.
I almost fell out of my chair when it was delivered!
(by the waywe didn't even make a dent into this drink….we drank a good portion but the voume would never go down!)
After grocery shopping, we returned home to enojoy some more time on the beach. So seriously super!
All this fun in one day. I am in good times overdrive. My brain can't take this much relaxation, fun, sun, and margarita in one day! I am spontaneously shutting down. My eyelids are closing…..must get sleep in a bed…can't wait to get up early to enjoy a cup of coffe and a bible study on the beach with my Jars. Then, we're going to make French Toast. Now this is a vacation!
